To use the house for the purpose of a holiday during the booked period for personal party members as notified to the owner prior to arrival. Guests will maintain the premises, furniture, fixtures and fittings in as good a state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the letting. Guests will keep the house and gardens clean and tidy, and to leave them in the same condition as it was found on arrival.
Arrival - Guests should arrange to arrive at or after 16:00 to enable the property to be cleaned and prepared for their arrival, early arrivals are welcome to use the gardens until the property is ready.

Departure - Guests are required to depart by 10:30 on the day of departures.

Keys - Guests will be issued with sets of keys as requested. Lost Keys will be charged at for at £10 per set. In an emergency, spare sets are available.

Risk - Guests staying in the property do so at their own risk. Like all old houses, there are some low doorways (and beams upstairs) and uneven floors. Guests are expected to exercise caution and report any problems or issues to the site manager or owners as soon as practical.

Cleaning - The property is cleaned between each arrival/departure of guests and additionally each weekend during longer stays. Guests are required to leave the property clean and in good order on their departure. If the property requires undue cleaning, a charge may be made for this.

Deposit - Deposits will be held and then repaid within 14 days of departure.

Fuel Oil (Heating) - The heating is normally only in use from October to May. If the Oil fired heating is required at other times, contact ourselves to enable it. There is no charge for this during the October to May period, however a small charge may be levied otherwise, depending on the circumstances.

Wood - Wood for use in the wood burning stove is available to purchase at £75 per stair (cubic metre) . This wood is only for use in the wood burning stove; designated fire-pit or BBQs. Bonfires are strictly prohibited and at certain times of the year is absolutely against the law in France due to the fire risk all summer.

Hot water. L’Orangery has 3 hot water tanks, holding 750 litres of water, which is heated overnight for use during the following day.

Cleaning Products – The property uses a septic tank, as no main sewers are available in the countryside. Only cleaning product that are safe for use with a septic tank are to be used This includes bleaches in the kitchen as they kill the bugs in the septic tank, and it will cease to function efficiently.

No Smoking or Animals anywhere in the property. If you smoke in the gardens, please do not leave cigarette ends on the grounds.

Guests must not enter the private grounds of the adjacent Chateau.

Guests agree to take full and sole responsibility for the safety and conduct of themselves and all other members of their party and exclude all liability whatsoever for any injury, loss or damage, howsoever arising, to the owners, so far as the same is capable of being excluded by law. In the event of any breach of the above terms and conditions the guests shall be liable to compensate the owner for any loss or damage whatsoever or howsoever incurred. In the event of any complaint concerning the letting, guests shall notify the owners within 24 hours thereof, and confirm the same in writing in any event within 7 days of the date of the termination of the letting. No liability whatsoever shall attach to the owner of the property in the absence of such written notice.
